With big joy we here present our new little Prince Asterix.

Asterix is a totally wonderful boy, with a personality and a temper you just don’t see everyday. He has a bone structure that is so amazing just like his father, witch I believe he will look pretty much alike when he grows up. 

Asterix was heart-exanimated when he was 8 weeks old, and his m/s (SAS) was a little high, 2,6. Not that he is sick in this moment, but the heart specialist Jørgen Koch from Landbohøjskolen - KVL - (The Royal Veterinary and Agricultural University of Denmark) is afraid that there is a risk that Asterix might develop SAS in an high extent. Asterix will therefore be under control very intense at KVL so we might have a chance to see how this ugly disease will develop, how fast, how much and so on. At this point we all know to little about it…..
Asterix’s 3 other siblings was totally free from SAS. 

Even though we know that we maybe not will have Asterix for a long time, we chose to take him ”under our wings” of many different reasons. The most essential is that we think that this little guy also have the right to get a wonderful life filled with love and joy for as long as he can. And when we do not know anything about his future, witch can go both way - good or bad - we want to give him this chance.

Asterix is always such a happy boy. He’s little tail do not stand still when he is awake. He is not afraid of anything, he is just so full of life, and he is a little ”bandit” to everyone and everything that does not say NO :o)
Ziljah ana Asterix has developed such a lovely friendship, but if you ask me I think that she lets him get away with way to much :o/ 

I would like to send a big thank you to Merete and Klaus for letting us have this little ”bear”. We enjoy him every single second, but you already know that. No matter how this turns out, we will never regret that we took him with us home. By the way, we still believe that he will be the sunny story and a little miracle :o)

Asterix will be x-rayed on hips and elbows when he is 18 month old.
