When you meet people on the street, walking your Dogue de Bordeaux, most people will stop and ask you: “what kind of a dog is that?? Is it a boxer?” (the most typical question if you are walking with a black mask Dogue de Bordeaux!!) You will answer “ No, it is a Dogue de Bordeaux” - “A WHAT” people will now ask. You can say: “ A French Mastiff”, and people will still look at you a little bit wondering, and that is where you will say…”it is the fantastic, lovely dog from the movie “Turner and Hooch”. And people will now say “Ohhhh yeah”– “now I see”, and then you better prepare yourself for a lot of questions “does it drool as much as Hooch?” – “NO”…” does it ruin as much as Hooch?” – “NO”…..but it FARTS, you can add :o)
